41st Century | Unveiled at the "Nakayoshi Shimao Maho & 41st Century" Event

Cat Tent "#catstudyhouse" Now Available

From "41st Century," a DIY label that crafts bags and chairs, comes the assemble-it-yourself cat tent, "#catstudyhouse." When designer Mr. Kurahashi posted a sample of the tent on Instagram, he was encouraged by cat lovers to commercialize it. After seven months of trial and error, it has finally been released.

Remarkably Lightweight Yet Sturdy, a True Professional Specification

The "#catstudyhouse" cat tent combines a durable canvas body with a flexible yet strong bamboo frame. While open at the top and sides, the moderate sense of enclosure helps cats relax. Originally created by designer Mr. Kurahashi for his own cat and posted on Instagram, it gained significant traction among friends who also live with cats, leading to its commercialization.

The dimensions are 61x58cm in width and depth, with a height of 37cm and an entrance height of 15cm. After testing with various cats, this size was chosen for its ability to provide comfort. It is so lightweight that it can be lifted with just one hand. It can be easily moved to the living room, on the bed, or wherever the cat desires, allowing owners to keep their pets within sight. Cowhide is used in areas subject to tension to ensure strength.

Currently, a collaborative event titled "Nakayoshi" between manga artist Shimao Maho and "41st Century" is being held at "Craft Bureau" on the 5th floor of Shibuya Hikarie ShinQs. The "#catstudyhouse" is on display and available for purchase on-site.
