A Private Salon Featuring Antique Furniture on the Lower Level
May it become your "VITRÍNY" (cupboard)──This is the sentiment behind the naming of the tableware shop "VITRÍNY".
The shop offers popular brands such as Czech Republic's "Laska Bohemiaglass" and "Moser," and France's "Gien," featuring everything from classic items to new arrivals and exclusive pieces only available at the direct-run store.
The first floor showcases glasses of Bohemian glass, beautifully sparkling with delicate cutting, alongside cups and saucers and plates from Gien, featuring vibrant color gradations, all displayed by brand.
The basement level is a private salon by appointment only. Surrounded by antique furniture from the 1890s to the 1960s, where masterpieces from Moser—considered a treasure of Czech glass artistry, including vases and objets d'art—were created, visitors can leisurely explore the products.
Laska Bohemiaglass
Bohemian glass artistry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is said to have begun in the 9th century with the Moravian Empire, where glass was used as material for personal adornments. Even after more than 600 years since its birth, Bohemian glass artistry, through its beautiful cutting, painting, and engraving, has solidified its position as world-class glass, both in name and reality.
Gien
Established in 1821 by Englishman Thomas Hall in Gien, a town blessed with the rich nature of the Loire River, the Gien ceramic workshop began production in 1823. Since then, it has continued to produce high-quality ceramics utilizing the centuries-old techniques of faience. Gien's ceramics, characterized by their hardness close to porcelain yet retaining the warmth of earthenware, are cherished by many enthusiasts and highly acclaimed not only in France but worldwide.
Moser
In 1857, Ludwig Moser established a glass decorating workshop in the birthplace of Bohemian glass. At the time, it produced high-quality, artistic glass for wealthy European aristocrats, and simultaneously exhibited its works at prestigious industrial fairs and world expositions (like the World's Fair) in Vienna, Paris, and beyond. From its inception to the present day, Moser has adhered to 100% all-handmade processes from molding to decoration. The delicate cutting and designs born from this are the ultimate techniques unique to Moser, stemming from the master craftsmen's years of experience, and represent Moser's greatest characteristic.
