Toshihisa Ishihara Ceramic Exhibition 'Shapes of the Palm' Opens
At kagure Omotesando, Toshihisa Ishihara's ceramic exhibition 'Shapes of the Palm' will be held from Friday, April 11th. This exhibition focuses on 'forms born from the palm,' aligning kagure's appreciation for handcraft with Ishihara's predominantly hand-built works.

On Friday, April 11th, from 6:30 PM, an opening talk titled 'From Earth to Ceramics' will be held on the second floor of kagure Omotesando, featuring Toshihisa Ishihara and the exhibition's curator, Noriyoshi Ishida (20 capacity, reservation required). The two will discuss their profound understanding and endless pursuit of ceramics, tracing thoughts from a single vessel to the earth, to fire, and even to the origins of the planet, as well as the exhibition at kagure.
Additionally, on Sunday, April 13th, from 6:00 PM, to commemorate the 'Shapes of the Palm' exhibition, a one-night-only banquet will be held by Tsumugiya, a male culinary unit and close acquaintance of Ishihara (20 capacity, reservation required). A special order casserole made by Ishihara for this event will be unveiled. Enjoy a unique collaboration between vessels born from Ishihara's hands and cuisine from Tsumugiya's.
