The Culmination of JAY TSUJIMURA's First Half-Century as a Creator

For 25 years now, he has been creating jewelry through self-study, learning by trial and error. With this "Silver Truss Rod Cover" guitar jewelry, JAY TSUJIMURA's "style = jewelry" has finally converged with his origin, "music = guitar."

A Rock Star Dream from Youth!

The Silver Truss Rod Cover, presented here, was completed over a year from conception to finishing.

The moment he fitted the polished Eagle Feather truss rod cover onto his beloved Gibson Les Paul, he felt an indescribable sensation: "Huh? What is this feeling? Is this..."

Since childhood, I've hummed Beatles songs in nonsensical English while holding a guitar I couldn't play. In junior high, I idolized Led Zeppelin, was captivated by Jimmy Page, and played a Les Paul. My creative roots are undeniably in Gibson guitars.

Guitar and Jewelry Finally United

From my hometown in Mie Prefecture, to London at 21, New York for 12 years, and now Tokyo. It's been 33 years surrounded by numerous Gibson guitars. Music is an indispensable inspiration, but Gibson guitars are like a part of my body. Even though I can't play well, I feel at ease when they are near.

While I've been creating jewelry all this time, why didn't I think of this sooner? Guitar and jewelry have finally come together. My youthful dreams and current aspirations have converged, bringing me back to my origins in a full circle. With this work, I've decided to bring a temporary close to the first half of my life as a creator.

The Silver Truss Rod Cover is the culmination of JAY TSUJIMURA's 25 years! And JAY TSUJIMURA's second half is already brimming with ideas. Creations are beginning to take shape in my mind.
