The publication is overseen by Fram Kitagawa, director of "Club Hillside," the platform for Urban Village Daikan-yama (Representative of Art Front Gallery, General Director of Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, Setouchi Triennale, and Ichihara Art x Mix). The photography, including the cover, is handled by Kenshu Nii, a photographer based at Hillside Terrace who is also gaining attention for his collaborations with creators from various fields.
The inaugural issue features essays from creators and cultural figures closely connected to Hillside Terrace, including Akira Minagawa of minä perhonen, German literature scholar and essayist Osamu Ikeuchi, graphic designer Kazunari Kitagawa, Shinichiro Nakamura of Landscape Products, and writer/manga artist Erika Kobayashi. It also includes an illustration series by Yoshimasa Watanabe of KIGI, information on Daikan-yama's community development, and local folklore, making for a rich and engaging read.
