The "Harcourt Chess Game," Limited to 50 Sets Worldwide

Baccarat's history began with the establishment of a glass factory in the Lorraine region by Bishop Louis de Montmorency-Laval, under the authorization of Louis XV. This factory, built along the Meurthe River, was named the "Sainte-Anne Glass Factory" in 1775.

The company began manufacturing crystal in 1816. In the latter half of the 19th century, following numerous awards at the Paris Universal Expositions, it became favored by royalty and aristocrats worldwide, including Louis XVIII, earning the title "Crystal of Kings."

The "Harcourt Chess Game" is a playful reinterpretation of "Harcourt," Baccarat's timeless icon since its debut in 1841, by Japanese creator nendo. The "Harcourt Wine Glass" has been transformed into game pieces with unique hand-cut designs, creating a beautiful play of light. This year, only 50 sets are produced worldwide, and it is already attracting attention as a collector's item.

The "Sun Clock," Limited to 25 Pieces Worldwide
The masterpiece "Sun Clock," designed by Georges Chevalier, Baccarat's artistic director from the 1920s to the 1970s, has been reissued. Originally created in 1948, inspired by Louis XIV, the "Sun Clock" was a cherished item of writer Arthur Miller. The new "Sun Clock" features a mirrored finish on the crystal, reborn with a modern aesthetic. The rays emanating from the crystal sun with its 16 spokes transport the viewer to a world of dreams.
