The brand "Knirps" is so synonymous with compact umbrellas that the German dictionary defines "Knirps" as "compact umbrella." It is known as the world's first compact umbrella, blending solid quality, recognized by pragmatic Germans, with modern design. Starting in April, a new line called "FLOYD" will be released in eight vibrant colors.

One-touch operation, lightweight design at 280g
In 1928, engineer Hans Haupt conceived the structure of a compact umbrella and obtained a patent on November 23, 1934. Knirps is the world's first compact umbrella brand, created by Hans Haupt, and in 1965, they succeeded in producing an umbrella that opened automatically.
The "X1" model, symbolizing modern Knirps, has won the prestigious "IDEA Award / Good Design Award." It focuses not only on functionality but also on design, utilizing new technology and optimal materials.
The "FLOYD" line, launching now, features a design with meticulous attention to detail, including the handle. It's a colorful new line in eight shades, offering quick and easy opening and closing with a button, and is made from wind-resistant, quick-drying material.
Despite being lightweight at 280g, it opens to a generous diameter of 87cm. The one-touch open/close function is useful in a variety of situations, such as when carrying luggage, getting in and out of a car, or when accompanied by children or pets.
