The "Andersen Dessert Plate" and "Andersen Coffee Cup & Saucer" being released this time were originally launched in 2005 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Hans Christian Andersen, Denmark's most celebrated fairy tale author.
Responding to requests from Japanese fans, these items are now being reissued, with their release set for April 2nd, Andersen's birthday.
The designs were created by Danish artist Lin Utzon.
The porcelain, rendered in a contrast of deep blue and white, is adorned with motifs from Andersen's fairy tales such as "The Little Mermaid," "The Ugly Duckling," "Thumbelina," "The Nightingale," and "The Butterfly," creating a classical yet modern ambiance.
