HORN GARMENT introduces two types of art surfboards adorned with illustrations by Nordic artist Jonas Claesson. These uniquely designed boards also serve as striking interior pieces.

Introducing two items that double as interior decor

HORN GARMENT began in Newport Beach in 2006.

The brand's signature smile logo, embodying the slogan HAPPY SURF, is a key feature of its surf collection. They offer innovative surf products such as art surfboards that excel as interior decor, and customizable wetsuits.

The brand name HORN GARMENT derives from "horn," believed to bring good fortune. The distinctive brand logo is inspired by the sea, the sun, and the initial "H" for HAPPY and HOPE, symbolizing the design's aim to bring joy and optimism to people.

The art surfboards introduced here are the "Under The Stars SAN DIEGO FISH" and "Whale Shark SAN DIEGO FISH," shaped by Stu Kenson, who resides in San Diego, USA.

Both are original surfboards featuring original illustrations by Nordic surf artist Jonas Claesson. Crafted using a special fabric with high-precision digital printing applied domestically in Japan, this lightweight, high-density cotton cloth is then exported to San Diego for lamination.

The "Under The Stars SAN DIEGO FISH" features a striking black finish evoking the night sky. Its graphic design, with an almost ethnic ambiance, is particularly memorable.

In contrast, the "Whale Shark SAN DIEGO FISH" uses a simple palette of white and blue. The gently rendered whale shark evokes a sense of freshness.

Stu Kenson
Born in 1958 in Southern California, Stu Kenson is a legendary shaper residing in San Diego, California, with 40 years of surfing experience and 38 years of shaping. From 1994 to 1999, Stu Kenson served as the head shaper for RUSTY in the US, later shaping surfboards for icons like Joel Tudor and Ted Robinson. He currently crafts boards for San Diego's top surfers, including Joel Tudor and Kevin Connelly, establishing himself as a leading shaper in California.

JONAS CLAESSON
Jonas Claesson, an illustrator based in Australia, hails from Stockholm, Sweden. His work distills the natural world and animals he knew in Scandinavia during his youth, combined with his current surfing and camping lifestyle in Sydney. His unique world depicts coexistence between moose, polar bears, reindeer, and seals, where nature, animals, and humans harmoniously blend. Jonas's hand-drawn illustrations are sometimes digitally enhanced, transforming into bold and highly expressive pieces. This vibrant and warm, distinctive style has become his trademark. Claesson's career as an illustrator began with the surf brand Billabong, and he has since expanded his reach to provide artwork for nature-loving brands such as Patagonia and KEEN. His work is celebrated and supported by surfers, campers, and people of all ages worldwide, garnering significant attention.
