For sake vessels used in Shinto altars, too. The "Hakumen" series of sake cups in special white porcelain | BAR BAR
BARBAR
Contemporary sake vessels at an accessible price point.
BARBAR is a brand that, while rooted in the techniques of Hasami-ware, explores free and unconventional ideas. The 'Shiromen' sake vessel series is produced by artisans in Hasami, Nagasaki Prefecture, based on prototypes outputted by 3D printers. Though sake vessels, they are designed not to lean too heavily on tradition, allowing users to decide how to incorporate them into their lives.

The 'Shiromen' sake vessel series includes four items: the 'guinomi' (sake cup), 'tokkuri' (sake flask), 'koppu' (cup), and 'mizusashi' (water pitcher).
The 'guinomi,' ideal for chilled sake, features a rounded base designed to prevent it from tipping over, regardless of the angle at which it's placed on a table.
The 'tokkuri,' designed to be used with the 'guinomi,' is characterized by its spiral pattern. It can also serve as a flower vase, its translucent white enhancing the natural beauty of the plants.
The 'koppu,' developed for drinking shochu, fits comfortably in the hand. An inner indentation is designed to catch ice, preventing it from sliding into your mouth when you tilt the cup.
The 'mizusashi,' with its soft curves that fit snugly in the hand, could also be used as a flower vase. It too will lend an elegant touch to any space.
