Live Painting Streamed on Instagram
Artek Tokyo Store, celebrating its first anniversary on April 27, 2020, has announced special product releases and events. These will be available on the Artek Webstore. First, we draw attention to a limited-edition stool created in collaboration with artist Yu Nagaba.

Artek Tokyo Store, located in Omotesando, marks its first anniversary on April 27, 2020. To commemorate this milestone, a variety of events will be held online.
The first release features a collaboration with artist Yu Nagaba, with ten stools available. Starting Friday, April 24th at 7:00 PM, a live painting session by Yu Nagaba will be streamed on the Instagram accounts of Artek Japan (@
artekjapan) and Yu Nagaba (@
kaerusensei). The limited art pieces will be released for sale after the stream concludes.
Specifically, the seat and legs of the "Stool 60 Ustaava" will feature depictions of young people moving through the streets of Omotesando. Each seat will have a unique artwork, with the legs randomly adorned with fragments of these designs.
Additionally, limited editions of the "AMA500 Pendant" and "A201 Pendant" lighting fixtures, reissued in 2020, will also be available, one unit of each.
This presents a rare opportunity to witness the creation of unique art pieces firsthand. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it also offers a way to enrich and brighten time spent at home.
Precisely at times like these, Artek's efforts to bring brightness and richness to people's lives warrant our continued attention.
