A Hybrid Product Born from Joint Development with a Manufacturer

Kamaasa Shoten, a kitchenware store founded in 1908, is releasing the highly anticipated new product, the "Knife-Friendly Cutting Board Black."

This product was born from joint development with Tenryo Manaita, a manufacturer based in Okayama.

It is a hybrid cutting board that combines two features: Tenryo Manaita's "Hi-Soft Cutting Board," which offers the softness of a wooden board and resists dulling, and the "Hi-Contrast Black Cutting Board," which uses black to create a striking contrast that makes ingredients easier to see.

Kamaasa Shoten Knife-Friendly Cutting Board Black

Made from vinyl acetate, it provides a cutting feel similar to that of a wooden cutting board, which is gentle on the knife's edge and helps maintain its sharpness.

Like other plastics, it can be cleaned with dish soap, alcohol, or disinfectants, and is safe for use with bleach (for dishware only), ensuring hygienic use.

The adoption of black not only results in a stylish appearance but also offers excellent visibility.

With a thickness of 2cm and the ability to be planed down on the surface, it is designed for longevity. Furthermore, its availability in five sizes, from the compact "Chokotto" that can be placed directly on the table to extra-large, makes it versatile for a wide range of uses.
