Craft Design Technology is a stationery brand launched in 2005 with the mission to share Japanese stationery with the world. “We want to be the most accessible pen for everyone, a pen that is always close at hand.” With this sentiment, the Pentel Sign Pen was born in 1963.

Since its debut, this writing instrument, loved in over 100 countries and regions, is reborn in 2020 with the fresh spirit of Craft Design Technology.

While retaining its supple, easy-to-handle, and timeless design, the pen's body features the vibrant traditional Japanese color 'Byakuroku' (white-green). The subtly printed matte silver logo adds a refined accent. The finish offers a distinct departure from the 'everyday' Sign Pen.

Its most distinctive feature is the nib, which offers a gentle flex, allowing for the creation of uniquely soft, flowing lines. This flexibility naturally adds emphasis and variation to strokes, enabling the drawing of characters and lines with nuanced endings, flourishes, and sweeps.

With vivid water-based ink, the lineup includes the standard black, red, blue, and green, alongside ten colors such as gray and pink. Its applications range from business use to calligraphy. This marks a new chapter for a writing instrument cherished globally. A set of ten, perfect for gifting, is also planned for release soon.
