Pop-Up Event at Omotesando Eyewear Shop "Blink Base"
kearny, an eyewear brand founded in 2013 by designer Fujiyoshi Kumagai, introduces four new models.

Designer Kumagai of kearny draws on his experience buying vintage eyewear to craft glasses that prioritize domestic production and materials. The brand now unveils four new models that reflect the designer's aesthetic and tastes.
The "thomas" and "antonin" models feature a unique construction where the lower half of the titanium front frame is cut away, and a celluloid component encircles the lens within. The upper frame then supports the lens from above, as if suspended by fishing line. The names of these models are inspired by individuals Kumagai met through his passion for fishing.
The "hans" model utilizes beta titanium for its temples, offering a soft, comfortable fit due to its high elasticity, with a distinctive bridge design. The "darsena," crafted entirely from celluloid, was conceived by Kumagai during a visit to the Darsena canal in Milan, Italy. This model captures the unique texture and profound character inherent to celluloid.
A kearny pop-up event will be held at Blink Base from Friday, February 14th to Saturday, February 29th, 2020. On Saturday, February 15th, from 2 PM to 6 PM, designer Kumagai will be present to assist customers. Don't miss this rare opportunity.
