The "Louis Vuitton I (RED)" perfumed candle, a collaboration between Louis Vuitton and the non-profit organization (RED) that supports the fight against AIDS. Its scent blends sweetness with a hint of spice, while its appearance is striking with the contrast between (RED)'s iconic matte red and white ceramic.

A Scent Rich in Nuance, Asserting a Strong Personality
(RED), a non-profit organization, was founded in 2006 by U2's Bono and Bobby Shriver of the international NGO DATA with the aim of uniting consumer power and transforming it into a significant driving force for charity.
Louis Vuitton has announced its partnership with (RED). This collaboration brings forth the "Louis Vuitton I (RED)" perfumed candle.
The "Louis Vuitton I (RED)" perfumed candle, reflecting Louis Vuitton's spirit, was crafted by the Maison's in-house Master Perfumer, Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud.
For this fragrance, he drew inspiration from the color red, carefully selecting the finest natural ingredients to express emotions of love, freedom, warmth, and purity through scent.
The floral notes of peony, with a hint of pepper's spice within its sweetness, blend with juicy raspberry. Lighting this candle releases a fragrance that evokes harmony, optimism, and a sense of profound joy.
The result is a scent rich in nuance, while still asserting a strong personality.
The packaging design is by Marc Newson.
His creativity and craftsmanship have transformed the "Louis Vuitton I (RED)" perfumed candle into a bold and iconic object.
The white ceramic vessel, with its unique handmade shape, is equipped with a handle made of Vachetta leather, a signature material of the Maison, making it easy to carry.
The appearance is striking, with the contrast between the milky white wax and the wick, hand-coated in matte red.
The thoughtfully chosen metal lid, finished in a vibrant and deep red, serves as both a cover for the candle and a base to place it on.
This red hue is also used on the packaging, visually signifying the connection between the candle, (RED), and the fight against AIDS.
Michael Burke, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, commented on this partnership: "The collaboration with (RED) is a moment of great pride for Louis Vuitton and a significant milestone in our history. The courageous fight that (RED) is waging concerns everyone, and Louis Vuitton intends to continue supporting (RED)'s ideals and dedicated activities. We pledge our support to (RED) and are delighted that our Maison's candle can contribute to the promotion of AIDS countermeasures."
Jenny Rotito, Chief Operating Officer of (RED), also shared her thoughts.
"We are thrilled to partner with an iconic brand like Louis Vuitton. This year is particularly significant as it marks the 6th replenishment conference of the Global Fund in Lyon, France. For every candle purchased, an amount equivalent to 300 days of medication needed to save the lives of patients living with HIV/AIDS will be donated."
