Considering a Life with Light in Jimbocho, Amidst the Autumn Used Book Fair

The exhibition features light from *tōmyōki* (oil lamps) crafted from iron by Jun Tanaka, a metal artist whose diverse work ranges from objects and everyday tools to large-scale architectural pieces.

Ethereal objects, created by artisans who once produced Shiro Kuramata's acrylic works, encase dandelion seeds in acrylic, creating a sense of weightlessness. These are illuminated by the soft glow of Japan's cutting-edge OLED lighting technology.

Beneath this gentle illumination, visitors can peruse and contemplate rare books related to daily life.Enjoy the long autumn evenings with light that creates a relaxed and luxurious atmosphere.

For this exhibition, Bohemian's Guild, a rare bookshop located on Suzuran Street in Jimbocho, has curated and will be selling used books centered around the theme of "life."
