Tableware Inspired by Three Planets

SUSgallery's "Vacuum Titanium Tableware Series" is characterized by a unique texture, reminiscent of ceramics, despite being made of metal. It also boasts insulation and cooling capabilities six times greater than conventional glasses. These are exquisite Japanese pieces, born from the fusion of craftsmanship from Tsubame City, Niigata, and the sensibilities of creators. They were even chosen as gifts for the leaders of 20 participating nations at the 2010 APEC summit.

This time, under the theme"Crystallized Moments: The Essence of Crystallization," a novel line of tableware has been created, named after three planets: Venus, with its beautiful pink-orange hue that subtly shifts in brilliance; Jupiter, evoking the green of a planet's surface; and Mercury, with the gentle blue expression of a star. These pieces are characterized by their comfortable grip, elegant lines, and wide opening that beautifully showcases the contents. They are perfect not only for drinks but also for presenting soups and desserts with artistic flair.

One-of-a-Kind Washi Paper

Also not to be missed is the monumental, one-of-a-kind washi paper, "Hamada-shiki Ōban Sukui-sui Kon-zome Ta-shiki Ōban Sukui-sui," commissioned from hamadawashi for this installation.

The paper features patterns reminiscent of lunar craters, created by dropping water droplets. Fibers of various blue hues are blended and layered during the papermaking process to form the blue base. This "blue" from hamadawashi was inspired by the "blue" of SUSgallery.
