Showcasing Approximately 300 Works, from Everyday Items to Shop Logos
The Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA), with its approximately 2,900 members, is the largest design organization in Asia. Since 1981, it has published the annual yearbook 『Graphic Design in Japan』, and this year marks another edition.
This exhibition, held to commemorate the release of the 2013 edition, features around 300 works selected from the yearbook, displayed both physically and on monitors. The exhibition presents a diverse range of creations, from everyday items and websites to educational programs, product packaging, logos for renowned establishments, and even spatial designs for exhibitions and shops.
Furthermore, during the exhibition period, two talk events will be held on Thursday, July 18th, and Friday, August 2nd, featuring graphic designers, editors, and award winners involved in the creation of the yearbook.
『Graphic Design in Japan 2013』 offers a comprehensive overview of Japanese graphic design, which is highly regarded worldwide. It is a space that allows us to once again appreciate how deeply design permeates our daily lives and the excellent design that surrounds us.
