'RED&WHITE' can be translated into Japanese as the kanji characters 'Kohaku.' The first product, a copper cup, shares the same name as the brand. It was developed with the theme of being an ideal gift for celebratory occasions, such as weddings or housewarmings.




This original brand, "RED&WHITE," was created through a collaboration between Oda Koki and Keita Suzuki (PRODUCT DESIGN CENTER), known for works like the "Mt. Fuji Glasses." Under Oda Koki's supervision, the cups, including the engraving on the bottom, are all handmade in Tsubame-Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture. The involvement of Manabu Mizuno (good design company) for the package and logo design has also garnered attention.

The "RED & WHITE" cup, crafted from red copper with a white tin plating, is auspiciously named. When inverted, it takes on a shape that widens towards the top, symbolizing prosperity. This design subtly conveys the wish for enduring harmony, achieved by moderating one's drinking and returning the cup.




Furthermore, its wide, open rim, reminiscent of a martini glass with its top section removed, not only makes it easy to drink from but also allows for a clear view of the contents, enhancing the visual enjoyment of the drink. It is also ideal for cocktails like Moscow Mules or sparkling beverages, as the open shape helps to release their aromas.


Copper, a material with excellent thermal conductivity and heat retention, quickly cools to the temperature of the beverage poured into it, keeping it cold until the last sip. This collaboration, uniting the high-quality craftsmanship of Takaoka with the manufacturing expertise of Tsubame-Sanjo, results in unparalleled quality.
