From Luxury Car Leather to a Diverse Lifestyle

Founded in 1878 by John Joseph and Samuel Frederick Connolly, "Connolly" began as a maker of equestrian saddles. In 1902, they ventured into the automotive industry after being commissioned to create the interior for the coronation coach of Edward VII (which was also used in the 2011 wedding of Prince William and Catherine).

They have supplied refined and durable leather seats to prestigious British marques such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin, and Jaguar.

Beyond the automotive sector, Connolly's expertise extends to interior design, including chairs by German architect Mies van der Rohe, seats in the Houses of Parliament, desks at the British Library, Eames lounge chairs, and Concorde aircraft seats.

In 1995, leveraging their accumulated know-how, they began developing motorsport accessories like helmets and goggles, alongside other leather goods.

Connolly leather is characterized by its use of carefully selected materials and a unique tanning process. It is not only resistant to wear but also offers a smooth texture that develops a rich patina with age.

The brand's exquisite world is now fully showcased with the pre-opening of Connolly's first directly managed store in Ginza. The collection features items befitting European elegance and style, including a driving collection with motorsport-inspired helmets, goggles, and leather gloves, as well as briefcases, wallets, and travel accessories. Apparel such as jackets, coats, and knitwear are also planned.

These meticulously crafted items offer a versatile range suitable for both daily use and grand touring. They promise to enhance the style of any journey or drive.

Additionally, a pop-up shop is being held at Nihonbashi Takashimaya Main Building 2F until Tuesday, June 18, 2019. We highly recommend visiting this as well.
