The "Sonic Soak," a new concept in washing using the power of ultrasound, has landed in Japan. It's a much-talked-about ultrasonic cleaner that successfully raised over 9500% of its goal on the US crowdfunding platform "Indiegogo," securing $1.8 million (approximately 200 million yen).
The cleaning mechanism utilizes the power of microscopic vacuum bubbles, created by ultrasound in water, to dislodge and remove dirt.
Therefore, it can remove dirt from almost anything that can be immersed in water, including pesticide residues on fruits and vegetables, dirt from eyeglasses, and baby products.
Its uses are diverse, and its lightweight design of approximately 115 grams, fitting comfortably in one hand, is also a key feature.
It can be immediately useful for washing small amounts of laundry while traveling, for delicate items like silk, or even for washing just a single stained piece of clothing.
It's also simple to use. Just fill a container with water, immerse your clothes or other items, add detergent, set the timer on the "Sonic Soak," and press the start button. Dirt is removed in minutes, and it uses 1/10th the power and less than 2% of the water compared to conventional washing machines.
This innovative cleaner, capable of removing dirt from its roots and being portable, seems poised to be useful in all sorts of situations, from daily life to travel.
