Historic ceramics reimagined for modern living. Planters for indoor and outdoor use | Hasami Porcelain
Hasami Porcelain
Simple ceramic planters that enhance the beauty of plants.
Hasami Porcelain is a tableware collection that inherits the tradition of Hasami ware from Nagasaki Prefecture and is directed by Takuhiro Shinomoto (tortoise), a designer based in Los Angeles.
This popular series, characterized by its unadorned, simple form, modular design for easy stacking, and the inherent texture and charm of ceramics that industrial products lack, has now welcomed planters to its lineup.
The planters, available in two sizes and three colors, all feature a drainage hole in the center of the bottom, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The modular design also allows the plates from the standard product line to be used as saucers. It is likely that such simple planters best highlight the inherent beauty of plants.
