Toshihiro Omura
Magnetic Option for Versatile Use
Nanbu ironware is a representative craft of Iwate Prefecture. While known for traditional kettles, recent years have seen numerous new endeavors utilizing its established techniques. The "bird" paperweight by Nanbu ironware craftsman Toshihiro Omura is one such example.

With a satisfying weight, the deconstructed bird shape fits snugly in the palm, serving as a paperweight or an objet d'art. A version with a magnet embedded in the base is also available, allowing it to adhere to refrigerators or cabinet surfaces, offering flexible placement options. Given their accessible price point, we recommend arranging several together in your entryway or living room for a curated display.
