PAPIER LABO.

Materials and scale inspired by Japanese homes.

PAPIER LABO. offers original products and a curated selection of goods from around the world, centered on the concept of "paper and paper-related products." The bookends, which were popular at the time of its opening in 2007, have now been reissued for the first time in nine years.

The wood used is laminated hinoki cypress, a material common in house construction. The scale from the front is one-tenth the size of a tatami mat, incorporating elements of Japanese residential architecture.

Their form blends seamlessly into various spaces. When placed among a dense collection of books, they resemble an apartment complex, while a single bookend evokes a nostalgic impression. They are sure to create a variety of scenes. Available in two sizes.
