Designed with your comfort in mind, even when pouring. A large-capacity teapot blending porcelain and brass|SUSUMUYA CHAGU
SUSUMUYA CHAGU
Crafted by Imura Pottery and Futagami, Professionals in Daily Necessities
With a philosophy of “cultivating, discerning, and drawing out the unique character of tea,” Susumuya Tea Shop offers the allure of Japanese tea in Kagoshima and Tokyo. Driven by a desire to create “the ultimate teapot never seen before,” they collaborated with product designer Masanori Oji (Oji & Design) to develop an ideal teapot for everyday use.
The main body, with a large capacity of approximately 950ml when full, is made of porcelain. A brass handle with a distinctive curve extends to the rear of the body, designed to reduce strain on the wrist when pouring. The porcelain was handled by Imura Pottery, known for its “jicon” brand, while the brass was crafted by Futagami in Toyama, which develops the daily necessities brand “FUTAGAMI.” The aesthetic beauty of the porcelain and brass will blend seamlessly into your home, enhancing graceful movements.
