The iconic and practical glass bottle "Scala" reimagined for today|HOLMEGAARD
HOLMEGAARD
Patented lid with a lifting mechanism for sealing
The "Scala" glass bottle, a practical design by the late Danish designer Ole Palsby, was first created 25 years ago. After production ceased in 1990, it became a collector's item. Now, Danish brand HOLMEGAARD has released a contemporary reinterpretation of the model.
"Scala" means "to measure" or "to see inside." The transparent glass body features practical lines that also serve as measurements, and the patented lid has a mechanism that lifts the metal fitting to create a seal. Its airtightness makes it ideal for storing cereals, dried fruits, nuts, and more. It is also excellent for transport.
