Ideal for dusting away fine particles. A desk brush brimming with artisanal charm | PAPIER LABO.
PAPIER LABO.
From cultivation to harvest and production, all by the artisan's hand.
PAPIER LABO., known for its desk accessories, now offers a desk brush from Yuko Nishimura, who works in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa.
The material is ramie. Also known as ramie, it's used as a fiber in clothing. Its strong yet supple nature makes it ideal for dusting away fine particles from PCs and electronic devices. The handles feature various materials like old cloth, indigo dye, and sashiko stitching, giving them an artisanal charm.
Since Nishimura handles every step—cultivating the ramie, harvesting it, processing it into fiber, and crafting the brush—all by hand, her daily production is very limited. This precious piece is also a beautiful sight when simply displayed on a wall.
