A three-piece set of "dishes for learning through play." Reproduced in durable melamine | KAY BOJESEN DENMARK
KAY BOJESEN DENMARK
A Perfect Three-Piece Set for Preschool and School Entry, or Birthday Celebrations
Kay Bojesen is known for his beloved wooden monkey figurines and his cutlery designs, which embody functional beauty, and he was a cornerstone of Danish arts and crafts. A children's tableware series he released in the 1930s, when he was art director for the porcelain manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl, has now been reissued.
The plate, deep dish, and cup are designed with an element of "learning through play." Unlike the original, they are made of durable melamine to suit modern living. They are dishwasher safe up to 55°C but not microwave safe. Meal times spent with family will surely transform into creative moments. Scheduled for release in February.
