BoConcept Minami Aoyama Store Renovated and Reopened
Visit the Minami Aoyama Store to Read Books
BoConcept's flagship store, "BoConcept Minami Aoyama Store," which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, has undergone a full renovation for the first time in 10 years and reopened. To mark the occasion, starting in October, the store will regularly host events under the concept of "BoConcept INVITES," proposing a new urban lifestyle alongside urban design interiors.
Text by KAJII Makoto (OPENERS)
The First "BoConcept INVITES" is a Limited-Time "Book Store"!
The concept, "BoConcept INVITES," embodies the desire to "welcome visitors to the BoConcept Minami Aoyama Store with the same ease as visiting a friend's home." As the first initiative under this concept, six themes centered around design have been curated on the basement floor of the Minami Aoyama store. All books, from large-format international visual books, photography collections, and theoretical works to magazines, are available for purchase.
The selection was curated by book selector Takayuki Nakanishi. The six themes—"Design Books Worth Having on Your Shelf," "Books That Make You Think About Design," "Books to Learn Style from Designers," "Books That Make You Contemplate Beauty," "Books About Japanese Living," and "Magazines to Make Design Approachable"—are displayed in two wall units, primarily in a calming walnut color, which is a customizable BoConcept feature called "Lecco." These displays offer hints for interior design.

I want to relax in the basement, surrounded by urban design interiors, and freely expand my interior design inspirations.
