Inspired by a Brand Icon: A Redesign of the Lamp Socket | Lyngby Porcelæn

Lyngby Porcelæn

Founded in Denmark in 1936, Lyngby Porcelæn offers functional beauty by combining traditional craftsmanship with advanced production techniques.

The Brand's History and Aesthetics, Reflected in a White Porcelain Lamp Socket

Lyngby Porcelæn, a Danish brand established in 1936, is launching the "Lyngby Porcelæn Pendant," a pendant-style white porcelain lamp socket. Designed by Philip Bro Ludvigsen, it draws inspiration from the classic form of the brand's iconic "Lyngby Vase."

In the late 1930s, when the Lyngby Vase was introduced, its finely ribbed texture and elegant simplicity were considered a novel and unique aesthetic. This sensibility is carried over to the new lamp socket. The cable is available in two colors: black and white. Consider which would best suit your space.
