Ed TSUWAKI, who is active as an illustrator, designer, and painter, will hold an exhibition featuring "ceramics," a new frontier for him, starting March 17. The venue is the gallery space "CURATOR’S CUBE" in Nishi-Shimbashi, Minato-ku, operated by Landscape Products.

The "Salty Sweet Taste" Fired from Late Summer to Late Autumn Last Year
The works presented in this exhibition were born from Ed TSUWAKI's travels between Tamba Sasayama and Osaka last year, during the simultaneous holding of touring exhibitions in both locations. Many of them were produced under the guidance of ceramic artist Toshihiko Shimizu in Tamba Sasayama. Ed's worldview is brilliantly expressed through the white glaze and black glaze, and Ed describes the various memories that come to mind whenever he looks at these works as having a "salty sweet taste." This is also imbued in the exhibition's title, "Salt Honey."

Shinichiro Nakahara, representative of Landscape Products, which operates CURATOR'S CUBE, reacted to Ed TSUWAKI's work on social media. He decided to hold this exhibition, saying, "It had such an impact that I mistook it for a message to myself." Ed TSUWAKI says, "I also feel the joy of a new journey beginning." One can imagine his excitement before this new body of work.
