DANESE: A Flower Vase That Changes Shape with Living Flowers—A True Product of Playfulness
DANESE
A Floating Ring That Embraces Your Flowers?
"VASE DECOMPOSE," presented by Swiss design group Atelier Oï at the 2015 Milan Salone, is a true product of playfulness.
True to its name, "decompose" meaning to break down, the vase features a cylinder of aluminum with laser-cut slits at the top, which are then expanded to create a shape resembling connected rings.
Its form is not fixed; users can carefully bend it to arrange the flowers, allowing the vase's shape to change in harmony with the living blooms.
A glass bottle is included inside the cylinder, making water changes easy. The result is a product that reflects the designers' playfulness and their view of nature.
