Condensing Ingredients' Umami with Far-Infrared Effect

ANAORI CARBON was founded in 1962 as a manufacturer of carbon brushes for motors, and has since honed its technical expertise for over 50 years in the precision processing of industrial carbon graphite and carbon fiber products.

The company applied this skill to cooking vessels utilizing carbon materials, and has a track record of co-developing home appliances and high-end rice cookers.

And the newly completed product is the "Anaori Carbon Pot" series. It was developed as "a cooking vessel that can bring out the natural flavor of ingredients, aiming for the world's most delicious cooked rice."

This product, crafted by artisans carving high-purity 99.9% carbon graphite, supports all cooking methods such as "simmering," "grilling," "steaming," and "stir-frying." The part of the ingredient that touches the pot is heated directly, while the part that does not touch is heated by far-infrared radiation.

Because it uses carbon, the far-infrared effect is higher than conventional cookware, and it has the effect of locking in the umami of the ingredients. Carbon also has high thermal conductivity, allowing the entire pot to be heated quickly and evenly.

With processing precision to the nearest 0.01mm, it offers high airtightness, enabling even waterless cooking. Furthermore, a ceramic coating on the inner surface prevents sticking, and adds the far-infrared effect of ceramic.

The lineup consists of two types: "POT OVAL" and "POT VOL."

The "Pot Oval" achieves the smooth curves of the "super ellipse," said to be the most beautiful oval shape, through precise carving technology.

While simple, it utilizes the texture of the modern material, carbon, and has a look that harmonizes with the kitchen and table. It's the perfect size for cooking 2-3 cups of rice. The bottom is raised to allow rice to circulate, making it suitable for cooking rice, soups, and risottos.

Meanwhile, the "Pot Volume" has a unique look inspired by the "Eihoji" National Treasure temple. The lid joint is designed to resemble an audio volume knob. Its simple and user-friendly design was highly praised, winning the "2016 Good Design Award."

Additionally, its flat bottom makes it suitable for cooking methods such as stir-frying and oven cooking.

Both types are available in five colors: "French Blue," "British Green," "Scandinavian Cream," "Spanish Orange," and "Italian Red."

The design and coloring, beautiful enough to be served directly on the table, seem poised to add vibrancy to everyday meals.
