Paul Kjærholm's Early Masterpiece Desk Reissued by CARL HANSEN & SØN
CARL HANSEN & SØN
A Versatile Desk, Reissued After More Than 60 Years
The "PK52" and "PK52A" desks were designed by Poul Kjærholm, who taught at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, for his instructors and students.
Leveraging his experience as a cabinetmaker and his knowledge as a designer, Kjærholm's approach of combining wood and steel, which was unusual at the time, is said to have formed the foundation of his design methodology thereafter.

Its minimalist design is ideal for spaces that require a simple aesthetic. It serves perfectly as a working table in offices or design studios, as well as a dining table. The tabletop is available in either Oregon pine or oak, and the steel frame can be finished in black or grey lacquer.
An optional drawer module, the PK115, is also available. Timeless design for the modern era.
