Aiming for "The World's Most Delicious Rice"
"VERMICULAR" is a Japanese-made cast iron enameled pot developed by Aichi Dobbie, renowned as "the pot that brings out the most natural flavor of ingredients."
The newly released "VERMICULAR RICEPOT" aims to be "the rice cooker that cooks the world's most delicious rice." It delivers the same deliciousness as pot-cooked rice while using technology to eliminate the usual hassle.
The traditional cast iron enameled pot has been evolved for "rice cooking," and a new "pot heater" has been developed to maximize the pot's performance. By combining these two separate tools—the pot and the heat source—a revolutionary new rice cooker has been created.
The "Triple Thermo Technology," which enhances ingredients' natural flavors during heating, remains, but the design has been refreshed. The pot's interior is now more rounded to promote better convection of rice during cooking.
Features such as the "floating lid" with its unique cutouts on the rim minimize boil-overs during high-heat cooking, a common issue with cast iron enameled pots.
The "pot heater," the heat source, utilizes a unique heating technology that combines bottom IH coils with side aluminum heaters for three-dimensional heating. The control panel features smart touch keys, allowing for easy mode selection, heat adjustment, and timer settings with a single touch.
A key feature, born from the pursuit of "delicious pot-cooked rice," is the elimination of the separate inner lid typically found in rice cookers for heat retention. This creates a significant temperature difference between the heated bottom of the pot and the cooler top exposed to ambient air, promoting vigorous heat convection.
With the optional insulated cover, the rice can be kept warm for up to two hours after cooking.
It features two main modes: "Rice Cooking Mode" and "Cooking Mode." The "Rice Cooking Mode" offers settings for white rice (normal, scorched, porridge) and brown rice (normal, scorched). The "Cooking Mode" provides four heat settings—medium, low, very low, and keep warm—allowing for ideal cooking of dishes like stir-fries, roasts, stews, steamed items, and low-temperature preparations.
