The "Sipuli," designed in 1954 by Lisa Johansson-Pape, a leading Finnish lighting designer and one of the founders of the Finnish Lighting Association, is now available in Japan.

As the name "Sipuli"—Finnish for onion—suggests, the organic and beautiful shade is crafted from opal glass, blown using a mold. The light that emanates from it is so enchanting it's easy to get lost in its glow. The surface is sandblasted for a matte finish.

The shade is manufactured in Finland, while the socket and fixture are made in Japan.
