A frame that harnesses the properties of rattan to reflect your daily life.

"wawa," a wall-mounted mirror created through the collaboration between METROCS and Torafu Architects, utilizes rattan craft techniques that have a history of over 1000 years since their introduction to Japan. Its name, "wawa," is derived from the "double ring" formed by winding thick rattan in a spiral. Production is handled by "Tsuruya Shoten," a rattan product manufacturer with over 100 years of history, whose meticulous craftsmanship imbues the piece with a unique presence.

The mounting hardware on the back is also a noteworthy feature. With notches in eight directions, the mirror can be hung on the wall at any desired angle. The unpainted frame will develop a rich, amber hue with age, cultivating the distinctive texture of rattan. Its evolution over time is part of its charm. The release is scheduled for late July to early August.
