Eyewear as an Expression of Self: The Second Collection from ENALLOID's "Men's Glasses" Series
Ena Gankyo ENALLOID
Brand Concept: “The Man with the Glasses”
Second Collection Inspired by Artists and Architects
In November 2015, “Ena Gankyo ENALLOID” launched its first collection, produced by creative director Kageyoshi Kajiwara (LOWERCASE). The brand focuses on iconic men who wear glasses and their beloved eyewear, under the banner of “The Man with the Glasses.” The highly anticipated second collection features essential eyewear, born from Kajiwara’s ideas and the technical prowess of Ena Gankyo Kogyo. These glasses embody both robustness and beauty, inspired by artists and architects.

Five Styles Inspired by Real Artists
The second collection explores eyewear themes favored by artists and architects. This includes a contemporary artist, one of the “Young British Artists”; a street art pioneer who began with graffiti in the New York subway; a leading figure in abstract expressionism; and an architect who challenged conventional practices and raised critical questions. Building on the established concept, and drawing inspiration from the color palettes of these works, a total of four series have been completed.
An Elegance Achieved Through Ena Gankyo Kogyo's Craftsmanship
Ena Gankyo Kogyo is one of the few eyewear factories that prioritizes quality over productivity. Their polishing process, in particular, takes three times longer than that of other companies. This dedication to craftsmanship is evident in “Ena Gankyo ENALLOID,” resulting in glasses of refined elegance. The artwork for this collection, as with the first, was handled by Noriharu Shimoda (SILENT POETS/sfd-studio2).
