Ena Eyewear ENALLOID
Eyewear Reflects the Man
Ena Eyewear's Vision of "Men's Eyewear"
The first collection from "Ena Eyewear ENALLOID," offering a new way to enjoy eyewear, will be available for pre-sale starting Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the eyewear select shop "POKER FACE." "Ena Eyewear ENALLOID" is a new line proposed by Ena Eyewear Kogyo, based in Nakatsugawa, Gifu Prefecture, with Yoshikage Kajiwara (LOWERCASE) as creative director and producer. This is men's eyewear that masterfully fuses a design with a narrative, inspired by five distinct male archetypes, with the craftsmanship of a factory boasting approximately 70 years of history.

Five Archetypes: Actor, Writer, Artist, Film Director, Architect
Ena Eyewear Kogyo, located in Nakatsugawa, Gifu Prefecture, is one of the few factories that prioritizes quality over productivity, completing all processes within a single facility. While they have previously produced OEM for overseas brands and their original lines "ENA" and "EnaLloid," they are now releasing the new line "Ena Eyewear ENALLOID" with Yoshikage Kajiwara (LOWERCASE) as producer.
Producer Kajiwara re-examined how eyewear, once an extension of the face, tells a person's story and becomes etched in history. "Ena Eyewear ENALLOID" adopts the inner concept of "The man with the glasses." Focusing on iconic men who wear glasses—such as actors, writers, artists, film directors, and architects—and their beloved eyewear, five types of glasses have been completed by updating essential eyewear designs with Ena Eyewear Kogyo's technical prowess. Upon closer inspection, each model evokes the person who inspired it.

Backed by approximately 70 years of history, Ena Eyewear Kogyo's craftsmanship is evident not only in their comfort and polishing but also in the meticulous attention to detail. The hinges are a modern interpretation of the shapes found in European vintage frames. The connection between the front and the temples is reinforced with metal, and the increased surface area of this joint ensures a robust construction. The silver and gold metal parts, visible when folded, add an elegant touch while showcasing the product's aesthetic design.
Furthermore, the new line's logo and package design were handled by Noriharu Shimoda (SILENT POETS/sfd-studio2), whose powerful yet beautiful artwork perfectly expresses the concept of "Ena Eyewear ENALLOID."
