Designs from the late Norman Schureman Finally Realized

The new collection "Soup Can" from Italian eyewear brand TAVAT EYEWEAR is literally inspired by a soup can. Designer Norman Schureman, now deceased, saw an advertisement for an agricultural equipment manufacturer from the 1930s depicting crude goggles, which reminded him of a "cross-section" of a soup can. He began crafting frames, iterating through trial and error. The result was a frame structure that sandwiches the lenses. The hinges at the joints are also unique, employing watch "crowns" in place of screws. The designs come in two shapes, round and panto, with two variations each, for a total of four models.
