A Notable Event in the Rapidly Growing Handmade Market

Japan, and indeed the world, is home to many artisans and small groups creating high-quality, exceptional works. iichi is a leading marketplace for such goods, with over 16,000 registered artists and more than 320,000 items listed. The "iichi Craft Market" event is an exhibition and sales fair for individual artisans, regularly hosted by iichi in department stores across the country.

This nationwide expansion represents an unprecedented initiative within the Mitsukoshi Isetan Group for an exhibition targeting individual artisans. Approximately 240 participants, selected through an open call on the iichi marketplace and reviewed by both iichi and Mitsukoshi Isetan buyers, are scheduled to exhibit.

Event information, including photos of exhibited artists' works, their creative processes, and introductions to recommended local spots and stores, will be updated regularly on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using the hashtag #iichiCraftMarket.
