Focus on Free Forms Born from Dialogue with Wood

George Peterson began creating woodcrafts self-taught in 1992. He now presides over his own studio, "Circle Factory," in Asheville, North Carolina, producing a variety of works including wood bowls and sculptures. His background as a skater is reflected in his DIY spirit, such as using discarded skateboards in his art. The forms and unique marks born from his dialogue with wood are full of freedom and warmth. Simply having his works in a space can evoke a sense of richness.

The "George Peterson Circle Factory" exhibition features wood bowls and stools turned on a lathe, as well as wall objects and sculptures made from scrap skateboards. All of these pieces are being shown for the first time in this solo exhibition.
