Papier Labo., a shop focused on “products related to paper,” has commissioned a special lacquered box from Mabuchi. Each piece is crafted with care, available in two colors: black, and a deep, nuanced grey, both achieved by dyeing kozo paper with sumi ink and usuzumi. To ensure a smooth finish and prevent the paper’s fibers from fraying, the surface is treated with konjac paste. Its elegant presence will effortlessly complement any interior.
