Joint Event Held with Design Gallery SOMEWHERE

ELEPHANT, a specialty store that champions "More beautiful things for everyday use," focuses on art pieces and products by designers and craftspeople who shaped the golden age of Nordic modern design. The shop, nestled in an alleyway in Omotesando, reflects a unique worldview, with its regularly held exhibitions being a key attraction. Now, in collaboration with the design gallery SOMEWHERE in Ebisu, a highly anticipated event is set to launch this weekend.

Nordic and Italian Design

Starting June 6th (Saturday), 'WONDERLAND—A Curious World of Nordic and Italian Design—' will be held jointly with the design gallery SOMEWHERE in Ebisu. This exhibition will showcase and sell Nordic tableware alongside Italian modern tableware, pieces rarely seen in everyday settings.

The Nordic collection features works by artists such as Erik Höglund, Stig Lindberg, Kaj Franck, and Berndt Friberg, primarily handled by ELEPHANT. Meanwhile, SOMEWHERE will present its curated collection of Italian vintage items, including works by Sergio Asti, Joe Colombo, Gruppo Dam, Angelo Mangiarotti, and Ettore Sottsass.

Nordic and Italian design, often discussed separately, are brought together in this exhibition, offering a unique opportunity to explore their contrasts and commonalities. Why not visit Omotesando this weekend?
