Design label "100%" is founded on the philosophy of "evoking rich human emotions and sentiments through objects, and sharing the new values cultivated from them with many people." Now, "Lamp/Lamp," a bestseller since its release in 2007 from 100%, has been updated and reissued to align with contemporary lifestyles.

From Incandescent to LED: Approximately 13 Times the Lifespan

Designed by product designer Kosho Tsuboi, "Lamp/Lamp" takes the light bulb as its motif. Serving as both a light source and a lighting fixture, the bulb itself transforms into a functional objet d'art. It became a bestseller upon its release in 2007, but with technological advancements and the shift towards LED lighting, it has been reborn as "Lamp/Lamp LED."

The most significant difference between the incandescent and LED versions is, undoubtedly, the lifespan. "Lamp/Lamp LED" has a rated lifespan of 20,000 hours (approximately 11 years with 5 hours of daily use). This is a stark contrast to the previous incandescent version's lifespan of about 1,500 hours. Furthermore, unlike incandescent bulbs, LED bulbs do not get hot enough to cause burns, making them safe for households with curious children.

A complementary product, the "Lamp/Lamp Base," designed to perfectly house the "Lamp/Lamp LED," is also available. Offered in white and black, it would be a useful addition for indirect lighting beside the bed or in the living room.

Kosho Tsuboi
Born in 1980. Graduated from Tama Art University, Department of Environmental Design in 2004. After graduation, he resided at the Sōtō Zen head temple, Tōshō-ji, as an Unsui (monk in training). In 2008, he established Hironao Tsuboi Design, his predecessor. His representative works include Arflex's "Omega," 100%'s "Sakurasaku glass," and KDDI/iida's "LIGHT POOL." He is renowned for his multifaceted approach to flexibly interpreting the environment of a subject. Currently, he works on a wide range of products, primarily in product design, from daily necessities to home appliances and furniture.
