Minimalist and Universal Design Harnessing the Characteristics of Molded Plywood
NEW LIGHT POTTERY, which handles everything from lighting design to manufacturing and sales, has introduced "Moth," a pendant light featuring Tendo Mokko's technology in its new collection.
NEW LIGHT POTTERY was founded in 2015 by lighting designers Hiroyuki Nagatomi and Chiharu Nara. The brand is known for its minimalist yet universal designs that highlight the texture and beauty of materials, as well as its use of crafts from across Japan.
The new "Moth" is a pendant light characterized by its shade made from molded plywood. It is available in three colors: black, burgundy, and green, with the subtle beauty of the maple wood grain gently appearing.

The design incorporates the technical characteristics of molded plywood, which achieves mass production using molds by combining three plywood parts of the same shape. This construction also evokes the design of Tendo Mokko's iconic "Butterfly Stool."
The "Moth" offers an organic beauty that seems poised to become a warm accent in any interior.
