Textiles of "Cuteness" in Modernism

The highlight of this event, held in Osaka following Tokyo, is the vibrant interplay between Arflex's iconic "Marenco" sofa and Suzuki's colorful textiles. Suzuki's bold compositions and vivid colors adorn the simple "Marenco," designed to blend seamlessly into the user's lifestyle.

Three types of textiles will be featured as limited collaborations within the store. "DANCE" boldly combines materials of different colors and patterns. "PARK" incorporates animal motifs, introducing an element of "cuteness" that contrasts with sharp modernism into the "Marenco."

Additionally, "BALOON," a classic linen fabric for the "Marenco," is hand-printed with a dot motif using silk screen, available in blue and yellow.



These three textile patterns can also be applied to the seat covers of the "RINN" chair, designed by Taiji Fujimori. Furthermore, speaker covers for the "BeoPlay A9," a limited edition collaboration with Suzuki released by Bang & Olufsen Japan this past March, will also be on display.

Masaru Suzuki's vivid textiles are set to transform the atmosphere of any room. They bring a fresh perspective to iconic furniture pieces like the "Marenco" and "Rinn."
