Three graphic works by Max Bill reimagined as rugs



Max Bill, a leading Swiss creator, made his name as a painter, sculptor, graphic artist, architect, and industrial designer, as well as an educator who served as the first president of Ulm School of Design. This year, 20 years after his passing, three of his graphic works have been transformed into rugs and will be released on Thursday, October 23rd.

Exhibition "Living with Max Bill Graphics" to Commemorate Product Launch



METROCS, an interior brand specializing in timeless design products, has acquired the rights from the Max Bill Foundation to manufacture and sell three of Max Bill's graphic works (color-wheel, quiet, colorful accents) as rugs. Each will be produced in three sizes.

The combination of simple geometric shapes and a unique sense of color encapsulates Max Bill's aesthetic. The designs, which show no sign of the passage of time, harmonize effortlessly with interiors, proving their enduring global appeal. The exquisite coloration of the rugs is also noteworthy.

To celebrate this launch, METROCS will host the exhibition "Living with Max Bill Graphics" starting Saturday, October 25th. The exhibition will showcase approximately 15 types of rare vintage posters alongside the new rugs and existing products, expressing Max Bill's worldview. A talk event featuring Shuntaro Mukai, who studied under Max Bill, is also scheduled during the exhibition period.

As the season for rugs arrives with the cooler weather, these designs are highly recommended for anyone looking to refresh their interiors. Perhaps it's time to live with Max Bill.
