Introducing "Denim Floor" by TAJIMA, an innovative vinyl flooring that ages beautifully like jeans.
TAJIMA
A Collaboration Between Two Companies Boasting World-Class Technology and Quality
Founded in 1919, Tajima Roofing is a leading company in flooring materials for buildings. In 1953, they launched Japan's first vinyl flooring, and today, under the "TAJIMA" brand, they offer products for a wide range of sectors including commercial facilities, educational institutions, and office buildings.
Now, in collaboration with Kaihara, a world-leading denim supplier with over 120 years of history, they are releasing "Denim Floor," which combines denim fabric with loose-lay vinyl floor tiles. The surface layer is made of denim fabric dyed with indigo, allowing users to enjoy the patina that develops over time, much like well-worn jeans.
This vinyl flooring challenges the conventional notion that building materials are merely functional and prone to aging, instead adding new value. It's exciting to anticipate the evolving aesthetic that will emerge through daily life.
