A Masterpiece of Craftsmanship: Breathtakingly Delicate Outlines
The Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Estates Theatre in Prague, the Palais Garnier in Paris, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. "NEVERENDING GLORY" recreates the magnificent chandeliers from these five iconic theaters using hand-blown glass. Capturing the intricate outlines of these chandeliers in hand-blown glass is an exceptionally difficult feat, a true testament to the manufacturer's skill.
The shade is composed of two parts for easy bulb replacement. The design was conceived by Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus, who both studied architecture and design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. They established their joint studio in 2012 and now work across the realms of art, architecture, and design.
